Program and Evaluation

Supporting Czech and English Proficiency

At Maple Bear, we integrate Czech and English into everyday education through carefully designed activities. Children engage in group games with communication in both languages or observe the gradual translation of key terms. This approach helps them develop vocabulary and confidence in both languages, whether they are fluent in one or both.

Blending Czech and Canadian Curricula

We combine Czech education standards with the Canadian approach, emphasizing skills like problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. For instance, in Math, children work on Czech fundamentals while solving practical tasks inspired by Canadian standards, such as real-life scenarios.

Smooth Transition to a New Environment

Whether a child joins us in Senior Kindergarten, the first grade, or transitions from another school, we ensure a seamless adaptation process. Our methods help children quickly adjust to new routines, rules, and relationships with teachers and peers. We focus on developing their social skills and independence to build their confidence and sense of security.

Classrooms and Learning Centers

Our classrooms are designed to support group, pair, or individual activities. During lessons, children rotate through different thematic stations in our Learning Centers. This interactive approach keeps them engaged and ensures they learn in a dynamic and varied way.

Assessment and Progress Support

Twice a year, we conduct educational diagnostics to identify each child’s strengthsand areas for improvement. Using this data, we plan further development and support their talents. We regularly share progress updates with parents, enabling them to actively participate in their child’s education. In Senior Kindergarten and first grade, students are not graded but assessed using a scale that encourages the development of essential skills.

Learning Through Play and Exploration

Our activities are designed to help children not only acquire knowledge but also understand its purpose. For example, during a nature project, children might study plants and create herbariums, integrating biology, language skills, and art.

Future Opportunities

With bilingual education, our graduates are well-prepared to continue their studies at both Czech and international schools. They gain strong academic foundations and essential skills like teamwork, adaptability, and communication, opening doors to diverse educational and career opportunities.
